Foundation Review | Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYBODY!! What are your guys' plans for the weekend? I think I am going to go see Allegiant at the movies tonight with my friends. Today I have a mini review on one of my favorite, new additions to my makeup collection. The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude is a favorite to many and I am so glad I was able to try it out! I love tinted moisturizers and BB creams so this was a great product for me to try.

I love light coverage foundations and creams. This one is very great for feeling like you're not wearing a lot of makeup and looking like you have the most goddess-like skin. Isn't that amazing? It's great at covering up redness and imperfections while your face doesn't feel extremely cakey—which no one wants. It gives off a nice dewy glow so it isn't very matte, however; it does reduce fine lines and also hydrates your skin.

The website says that this moisturizer has vitamins C and E that act as a protection from gunk and grime. Even more ew. It also has an SPF of 20 which is great too! I also have very sensitive skin so this is a great alternative for people who react differently to certain products. I think especially during these months leading up to summer, it's important to wear SPF (even just all year round because the sun never hides!).

I have had trouble in the past trying to find a great moisturizer that didn't just fall off my face during the day or not cover up any of my imperfections and this one really worked. I know the price point for some is a bit expensive but, a little goes a very long way. May I even suggest the travel-size foundation shown above. I have been using this foundation for over a month now and there's still a ton left. The only downside of the travel-size is that there are only like two shades to choose from. The original size has about 15 shades.

I hope I can try out more of Laura Mercier in the future like her powders and other face products. Is there a specific one I need to try out? Happy Friday all!

Xoxo, Nat

3 Everyday Black Eyeliners

Hey guys! I hope everyone is having a great week. The weather where I live has been very gross this week. It has been cold and rainy. Hopefully that means more flowers and really green grass! I have been wanting to do a little favorites for you all and I have picked my favorite black eyeliners that I have been loving. I think that black eyeliner is an essential in everybody's makeup collection so here are some of the best ones that I have tried.

Smashbox Limitless Eyeliner
This eyeliner is fairly new to my collection. I got this in one of Smashbox's Art. Love. Color. sets and I was so impressed by how great this eyeliner was. Despite the size, this mini eyeliner is so nice. I only noticed that it was a bit dry to put on but, after a couple strokes it's really easy to use and doesn't smear during the day. This would be a great liner for natural and simple long-lasting looks.
L'Oreal  Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner
This would have to be my all-time favorite liquid eyeliner. The L'Oreal Infallible collection is amazing. Everything in that collection lasts so long without smearing, creasing, or flaking! This eyeliner is so easy to use especially for a liquid eyeliner. It's not very thick but, it's so pigmented and opaque. You can keep layering it on and it's great for creating winged looks because of the pointed tip. I have had this liner for so long too! It lasts a very long time and is great for people who are beginning to learn how to use liquid eyeliner.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil
I really love this eyeliner by Urban Decay. This is really new to my collection as well and is so smooth and creamy. It does sometimes fall onto my lower lash line during the day but, if you let it dry enough, it will last "24 hours"! It is so easy to apply and something that people don't really know is that you can actually sharpen the Urban Decay eyeliners. This eyeliner is particularly thick and isn't a liner I recommend for very natural looks.
I hope this was helpful for any of you looking for new eyeliners. Are there any other great ones I need to try?

How to: Budget & Use Your Money Wisely

Hey guys! I felt like doing a different post today because sometimes switching things up can be fun! Plus, I love sharing advice with all of you. Since the weather is getting way nicer, there's going to be a lot more to do: shopping, going on vacation, going out to eat, etc. And with that being said, I think it's very important to learn how to budget your money.

Now you're probably thinking, "Natalie, you're 16 years old. How do you know how to budget your money?" Well, to be honest I don't. Being the teenager I am, I have learned a lot about how to make sure your using and saving your money right. I don't know that much about credit or bills but, I think my advice will be very helpful for all of you young bloggers and readers! This is just my advice with my current experience dealing with all things money.

I am still in school and I will be going to college soon. I don't have a job and I only get to really work (or babysit) during my summer break. I know what it feels like to have no money and you're like "why can't I have like a full time job right now so I can go out and do or buy all these things?!" Saving my money has always been a struggle. I get it all! So here's a bit of advice:

Make Goals For Yourself
If you are really saving up for something you want, I like to set mini goals for myself. If I want a new pair of shoes but, can't afford to just drop a whole $60 then and there, I will set a mini goal every time I get a chance to make some money. I'll set aside some money later that way I can save up for those shoes while still having some money for things I will actually need.

Think About What You Really Need
Now do you really need those $60 shoes? I guess it depends. When I go into a store and I find an item, I like to ask myself this simple question: Do I need it? If the answer is yes, ask yourself if it's worth spending $60 on and if you are able to really afford those shoes. If the answer is no, maybe you could wait until you grow out of the ones you have.

Don't Worry About Others
So these shoes were worn by a famous celeb or a lot of people at school have them, does that mean you need them too? Will a piece of clothing or some trendy item like a selfie stick or a Swegway make you cooler? Who knows. Yeah sometimes every now and then I see some shirt or bracelet on someone that I think is cute and end up buying it later but, I feel like that's way different because I am buying this item for myself and not for others to think I look cool wearing it. Think about the item and it making you happy and not just getting accepted by your friends at school.

Appreciate The Things You Have
Living in the midst of commercialism, the media, and a cycle of new technology, there's a lot of influence and pressure to buy the newest and prettiest things. The Apple Iphone for example. Everybody wants to keep upgrading and getting the new best thing. I understand that people have phone plans that allow them to get new phones but, is it really practical to get an entirely new phone every couple months? It's crazy. I am teaching myself to be more appreciative of the things I have and being grateful for all the things my parents do for me. A lot of people don't realize how much they have and how much they don't need.

Prepare For The Future
Like I said before, I will be going to college in the next year or so and that is really crazy! So with that comes a whole lot of time working my butt off in order to pay off all of those big loans I have to take out during college. That means saving money now so I am not in humongous debt later. This also works for smaller future goals too. Make goals for yourself and think about what you will be doing in the future.

Obviously I am not an expert on budgeting and my money experiences will eventually change. I feel though that having this mindset on how to save and be smart with how you spend will really effect and help your future and just your well-being in general. Money for a lot of people is really important and I try not to let it take over my life and be the very first thing I have to worry about. I hope this was a very helpful post and you guys know that this is just from my personal experience and thoughts about how to use money.
