Stila Palette Review | Eyes Are The Window

Hello my lovelies! Today I have a very special review for you guys! One of my favorite palettes that I have ever owned. I am absolutely soo impressed with Stila and their eye shadows as I have never used any of their products. I have seen Zoella, Sprinkle of Glitter, and Tati review this palette and they completely love it as well. The sad thing that just happened right after I took these photos was that I dropped it as I was putting it away but, only one of the eye shadows that I really used a lot only broke a little (you can see it on the "Kitten" shade which is my fave right now).

So just a few of the things that I am really impressed about this palette is the intense pigmentation. I went to the store and swatched these on my arm and I was so amazed at how bright they were. The shimmery shades also do not have like a coating of glitter on top. It goes all the way through when swatching and applying and they look so beautiful on. Another thing I loved was the staying power. I wore these today for over nine hours and there was absolutely no creasing! These warm-toned shadows are so great for my skin although the grayish shade, Substance, will have to be practiced with because gray doesn't really suit my skin color.

One thing I did notice was that the formulation, although very creamy, was a bit chalky at times. I don't know if that was because I dropped it or it just-- is. It's a very minor thing but, the benefits outweigh the cost by a ton. This palette is a bit pricey as well and I heard that, for Stila, it's a bit much for a palette. It is a $49 palette and is something that I have had to save up for. This shouldn't be a starter palette as there are many more palettes great for beginners. Something you will also notice is that on the website, the packaging is a lot different. I went to my nearest Ulta and the only palettes they had were these older type of packaging not the gold or rose-gold "S" packaging you see on the website. That really bummed me out but, again, not a big issue.

I really enjoy this palette and I think that it is worth the investment. These colors can be used day and night and worn all day and night. They are super pigmented and opaque. This beautiful palette is great for a lot of things and I hope I have given you all inspiration and helped with any questions on this palette.

Xoxo Nat

  1. This looks like such a beautiful palette. I love the names of all the shades which all seem very wearable. I don't think I've ever tried any Stila products. The first row of shades look so lovely together! Nice photos and a great review!

  2. This looks good. I'm glad it didn't let you down. I have to say I think the Gwen Stefani palette by Urban Decay might have been a better option. It is currently my favorite! I might have t try this one out, though!

    1. You know, I looked at the Gwen Stefani palette in the store and I guess the really bright colors intimidated me a bit. I guess my mind was focused on Stila for some reason but, that palette is on my list! X
