Even though it's the middle of September (where has the time gone?), it's still 80 degrees in Chicago and there hasn't been any sign of Fall! It's at that awkward transition stage of Summer to Fall and I never know when to wear shorts or when to wear jeans. Lately, I've been wearing a lot of rolled jeans and tanks. It's a bearable in between when it's still pretty warm out but, night usually gets a lot cooler. I have also been loving black and heather toned stuff. It just pulls me in whenever I see a piece of clothing in a store nowadays.
I would define my style as pretty sporty. I'm loving this "Athleisure" vibe and it's been hella comfy to wear pretty much anywhere. You can wear this outfit out to dinner, shopping, at a movie, to school, to work, or just hanging out on a chill Sunday with peeps. You can dress this look up or down and I love how versatile these pieces can be!
I have seen a lot of these mixes of athletic wear paired with rolled up jeans and cute accessories; I have really grown to love it. High-neck muscle tees and ripped black jeans paired with my favorite Nike's have been a go to look for me this season. Adding a nice leather saddle bag can add a touch of sophistication and balance the ensemble, in my opinion.
Shout out to my loving sis, Melissa, for helping me take these pictures (and Dad too). I haven't taken any fashion pics lately and I was inspired to take some when my family went out to Oak Park a bit ago. I've been obsessed with this type of style for a while now and I want to know what trends you guys have been loving lately as well! Let me know in the comments.

It's that time of year again; everyone's already getting back to school, going back to work, or even going back to the gym! I love buying new workout gear if you guys haven't already noticed. Athleisure and active wear is like my favorite trend right now and honestly, it's so much more comfortable, too.
This was kind of a collective haul because I needed new compression shorts a while ago but, I thought I would share my finds anyway.
This Purple Ombre Tank was actually a Nike Outlet find. Normally at an Outlet or Factory store, there are discounted items for pretty nice deals. I looked online for this and they didn't have it on the website, however, I did find it for way cheap on Poshmark if you guys want to check it out.
The fabric reminds me of a terry cloth or a "towel-like" fabric. I don't mind it at all and it is very soft and nice to work out in. I did notice that it kind of absorbs sweat like a towel but, it's livable because you sweat anyway when you work out. Plus, it's really cute!
I don't know about you guys but, I love working out in compression shorts. I ditch the yoga pants during the summer and swap them out with these bad boys!
If you like wearing compression anything, these would be great for training in the heat. Whether you are outside on 90 degree heat or in a studio at 90 degree heat, these keep me cool while also giving me a full range of motion and comfort. They have longer types of compression shorts if you aren't about that "short life", they have a nice selection of lengths, sizes and colors, too.
For the big shebang, I needed a new pair of sneakers. "Needed" can be used lightly but, c'mon--these are pretty amazing shoes just looking at them. They're the Nike Free Rn's and I have laid my eyes on them ever since I walked into the Nike store when summer started.
I think a quality type shoe like these are worth every penny. I have worn these almost everyday and I know I will a lot when I run and I'm not wearing flip flops everyday anymore.
I have a pretty wide foot so I was unsure about what size to get in the first place but, when I tried them on in the store, my exact shoe size (8.5 US), fit perfectly. It was a little concerning that it fit so well because it wasn't a wide shoe in the first place. Good for Nike! Usually I have a really difficult time finding the perfect size depending on the shoe; these fit great and feel great when I walk and run in them. Obviously, these are training shoes and are not made for long distance running.
I would recommend these as street shoes to moderate length running. I wouldn't say that I am a distance runner at all so, I can't compare Nike's running shoes to more appropriate or practical ones.
I have always liked Nike's clothes. I love to wear them to workout in and to just lounge in really! They're super comfy and reliable for pretty much any type of occasion. What are some Nike products you love?

Something I have been seeing a lot lately around my town and on some other blogs were a ton of suede hats and ripped jean shorts. I initially thought that suede hats were mean't for the Fall and only the Fall. Was I wrong! Since Lollapalooza is going to begin towards the end of the month, I feel like suede hats as well as ripped jeans are the trends for this music festival weekend.
I have always loved the look of ripped and distressed jeans. I think they are so cute paired with a flowy top and a lace bralette. I am obsessed with the frayed edges and they're pretty much versatile with any other outfit combination. I wouldn't say that you could wear these out to a formal event, obviously but, these would look great out to a party or a bar paired with wedges and a nice blouse, as well.
American Eagle Outfitter's jeans are the best jeans I have ever owned. They are high quality and are very reliable. They have many different types of jeans to choose from and a massive selection of sizes. Their summer shorts sale is going on right now and you get buy one get one half off! Many of their summer styles are also 40-60% off right now and I have to say that I have gone about five times in a row now to the sale. It's just a great deal for tops, pants, and pretty much everything else they have.
The Hi-Rise Festival Shortie is a great light washed short and I love the look of these so much. I wear these so often with pretty much anything. I also love the black Denim X4 Hi-Rise Shortie, too. I think these are a bit toned down and aren't as distressed as the other pair. Everyone could use a blue and a black pair of really nice denim shorts. It's a necessity during these hot months and they really give off festival vibes!
I wouldn't say that I am an avid hat wearer but, I do want to try and wear my Charlotte Russe hat that I bought last Fall. I really think it could work this summer and would look great at any type of festival or just out and about with friends on a sunny day!
What have been some trends you guys have seen around this summer?

I feel like active-wear nowadays has stepped up to a whole new level. There are now more stores than ever dedicated to just simply all things active wear: Lululemon, Lucy, Athleta, Fabletics, and you know stores that have been around forever like Nike and Adidas. I'll walk into some of these stores and find like the cutest workout clothes and cringe at the price tag. However, I am all about buying workout clothes and shoes that are earth-friendly. Especially when they're made from old yoga mats!
I found these Sanuk Yoga Slinged Up Flip Flops at my local Nordstrom and fell completely in love with them. During the summer, all I wear are flip flops and sandals. I'll go through so many pairs and get them gross and beat up. I think that sandals are a great investment because you can pretty much wear them with anything and anywhere!
Sometimes flip flops, like the really cheap ones, can hurt your feet after a while or break and that's why these are the best and most comfortable/durable ones I have owned. They are incredibly cushiony and the awesome yoga sling strap makes a really cute and unique touch. It comes with a little card that shows different ways to tie the straps and I think that's a really nice detail.
I have worn these to yoga and they're so easy to just untie and slip off and get right back on after practice. My mom was worried that the straps wouldn't really hold my feet in but, I have had no trouble walking in them (or running in them if you're curious). There's no imprint of your feet like some flip flops leave and I haven't received any blisters or cuts from the straps, either. They have a pretty nice tread on the bottoms so you won't like slip everywhere, too!
I read online that the sponge like soles are not good near water. I would be careful at the pool or the beach, even in the rain. Rarely have I worn these on rainy days but, I have worn them to the pool and just took them off when I knew I was going to swim. I think they would just suck in a ton of water and probably mold and smell. I am also not sure about how much arch support they offer. They're super soft and comfy but, wouldn't be that great if you have severe foot issues.
Besides those couple things, these are really great sandals. They'll last you a really long time if the right care is given and are amazingly comfy. It literally feels like I'm on my yoga mat all day! I take yoga with me everywhere I go with these shoes. I hope you guys enjoyed this mini review! I am always scouting out for great sandals, and these are really great and cute for summer.
Do you have a favorite pair of sandals that you can't seem to stop wearing?

Hey! So, today I was feeling a fashion post was needed and I have compiled a few of my favorite pieces that I have been loving this season for you all. I feel like my sense of style gets a bit worn down when summer comes because I think that fashion is so limited due to the heat—but, it's not! I sometimes get in the habit of wearing like running shorts or jean shorts all the time and my inspiration honestly struggles during this time of year. I'm working and going on trips so, the last thing I usually think about are my outfits (scary to say but, so true). Every now and then when I go out with friends I like to dress up and think of something cute to wear, however, it's not always easy figuring them all out.
I think any outfit can be enhanced with a simple jean jacket. When I was younger, I never really wore jean jackets which is odd because I thought everyone was supposed to have some type of jean jacket when they were like 8 or 10 years old. I have come to realize that they are a girl's best friend in any fashion situation! I love how versatile a jean jacket can be and you can pretty much pair it with everything. A friend actually gave this to me and, to be honest, I wear it all the time! I love to just throw it on if I am out and about when it's a cool summer night and I need something to keep me from getting chilly. I love the simple and clean look it can bring to any outfit!Another trend that has been showing up in my town are these really flashy, cork, sandals. Birkenstocks, everyone. Or "Birks" as all the cool people call them. I felt at first as though that these chunky sandals should have stayed in the 70s! I was not a fan of them once they first made their way back as a popular trend. I mean, style never goes out of style I guess! Besides the nice arch support they give, the ones I have don't look too flashy right? They kind of look like normal sandals if yuh ask me! I always slide them on now when I have no idea what else to wear. Sure it's a bit of a statement and not everybody agrees with them but, hey, try something new for once maybe?
I have always loved statement sunglasses. I feel like everyone has their own type of sunglasses that they never stop repurchasing! Aviators are my kind of shades. I have a round face so these glasses really shape my jaw line and cheek bones very well! I bought these at an H&M once for like 5 bucks on clearance (and I haven't stopped wearing them since). I love reflective sunglasses so much and I always have mine in my purse or just laying on my head during the summer!
I don't always carry a purse around and that's because I'm just too lazy to carry a huge bag of crap around to... like the super market or something. I love purses, don't get me wrong but, I also don't like huge amounts of stuff to carry around like the next person. I have been enjoying this awesome little wristlet from Fossil. I can fit all my cards, cash, change, and my phone in it, too! It's really nice to just bring along and not have to lug a huge bag around. I can also attach my keys onto the loop which is also really nice!
I'm not one to wear scarves during the hotter months, however, isn't this one so adorable? I might be starting a new trend with scarves in the summer! Maybe bring out my inner Audrey Hepburn by turning this into a cute, retro head scarf (to protect my non-existent hair treatment)? LOL. Maybe you're going out late at night and need a little something to keep you warm or you're on an exotic beach with some "Fabio of a man" and you just want to play flirty for a night? Anyway, I thought that scarves shouldn't stay in winter! I think a light and fun, colored one could be perfect for this season. You can do a lot with scarves: wrap it around your neck, tie it around your hair like a headband, use it as a cute shawl over a sundress, or even tie it to your purse. Not many people ever think to wear them during spring or summer—start a new trend maybe?
I don't want to let my summertime diminish my fashion inspiration at all! I hope these pieces help you guys stay inspired to try out some new trends and possibly bring back old ones. I wish everybody a great rest of their week and please share your favorite fashion pieces to wear in the summer below!
Xoxo, Nat
Happy spring everybody! Even though it hasn't quite warmed up yet, I am still so excited for all things spring! I feel like the color rose is starting to become a trend this season so here are some of the pieces and products I love to wear and use!
I have been loving Zara's basics section and I found this really cute t-shirt. Zara has a great selection of items and you never know what you''re gonna find. They always have good deals going on every now and then and the quality of their clothing is amazing! This shirt is so soft and comfortable to wear with a nice, light pair of jeans and sandals or flats. Unfortunately, I was not able to find this on their website but, I am sure you can find it in store.
I have made posts about these products in the past and I just have to emphasize how much I love them. I have had these products for a while now and I continue to use them all the time.
This MAC lipstick in Angel has been one of my favorite frost shades from their range. I have worn this in the winter but, I also think it looks great in the spring as well because it isn't very light and isn't very glossy either. I have also done a review on the Fit Me blush by Maybelline and I really like how this gives you a cute, fresh glow. I have been using this blush a lot lately and I love the color it gives off. It's very subtle but, you can really build and blend it in.
I have mentioned in previous posts that I am not the paint-my-nails-every-week type. Especially during these warmer months, I just don't like the icky-sticky feel of nail polish. However, there are some very nice polishes that I find are light and are easier to use and don't smudge or chip. I love Essie's nail range and I love how their polishes last for so long. I have heard that they chip a lot but, I have never had any problems with Essie. I have been loving the nude and pink shades on my nails. It's so simple and clean. It also looks very classy! So is this shade's name: Tuck it in my Tux...haha. Rose gold is also one of my favorite colors of all time. This L'Oreal nail polish is always showing up in my posts and I can't stress enough how much I love this color and how metallic it is.
I hope you guys have had a great day and this helped any of you looking for some spring inspiration!

Hello everyone! So I know everyone's been up on their New Year's resolutions...right?? Time to go exercise like we said we would! In all seriousness, I have found working out to be one of my favorite hobbies lately and I really enjoy the feeling of strength and accomplishment right after every workout. If you guys didn't already know, I love doing yoga. Yoga has officially taken over my life. I have been doing yoga for almost two years now! Isn't that crazy?? I have improved so much on my skills and I generally feel a lot better about myself now. I do something so personal and, for myself, that I never thought I would come to love. I am planning on doing a total separate yoga post very soon as it gets nicer out and maybe I can show you guys some of my poses (or "asanas" in yogi talk). Enough about that for now, every girl needs sweet workout/active wear to look totally bad-ass while she's grinding out those burpees or last 10 chatarungas.
My absolute favorite piece has been this Nike Sweatshirt that I have been wearing like three times a week. I love wearing it when I run or even if I'm just doing errands or going to school. First of all, let's talk about the obvious...it's flippin rose-gold. Like how cute is that? It's so warm and doesn't soak up any sweat or smell. I am also loving funnel necks and high collars. I love the detail of the emblem and the hood also makes me look like a bad-ass Jedi ready to take on the world (if only).
I have also been loving one of my all-time favorite yoga brands, Lululemon. Their workout gear has been my go-to for everything yoga related. These pants specifically are one of my favorites. The fabric is a "Full-On Luon fabric is sweat-wicking and four-way stretch with added support and coverage" and there is also "added Lycra® fibre bends with you and stays in great shape". These yoga pants really do perform and I always feel safe when wearing these because they are such a great quality that there's no panty lines showing through and they have a cute little pocket for your keys and cards!
Nike is one of my top favorite brands as you guys can tell. I especially love their running shoes. I own three stinkin' pairs. I love them so much! These are my favorite shoes out of them all. These are called the Nike Zoom Fly 2 and they are one of the most comfortable shoes I have worn in my enitre life-time. I love the color too. This bright coral can be seen from like two miles down the road!
I also have an obsession with sports bras for some reason. I think that they're incredibly comfy and easy to maneuver in. I recently purchased this Adidas sports bra and it is truly awesome! It's medium support and there's a mesh racer-back for the ultimate ventilation! So great for any type of workout.
I recommend you guys check out these brands for the best workout gear! It comes down to what you truly feel comfortable in! Whatever works for you. Is there any other brands I should try?

Hello everybody! I hope you all have had a great week. Now I wanted to do something fashion related for this week's blog post and I felt that posing in negative degree weather would make this post a bit more "seasonal" looking or have you will. But, then again, I did end up going to a local greenhouse where it was a bit warmer and I was able to show you guys the main pieces that I am wearing. So, my best friend Ellie and I went on a little adventure this past weekend and I am so happy to share it with all of you.
Hey everyone! I wanted to do some quick pretty bits to show everyone. So here are some more fall necessities everyone needs in their wardrobe this season!
1) Frilly Woven Scarves-American Eagle
2) Flannel-Kohl's
3)Chelsea Boots-American Eagle
4)Lace Socks-American Eagle
5)Gold Embellished Wallet-Steve Madden
Especially for fall, I love these pieces together. I love to mix neutrals with bits of color. I also love chelsea boots. They are my obsession! What's your guy's fall necessities?

Hello everyone! I wanted to do a little Fall outfit photo shoot so I can show you my looks for this season! Enjoy.
Long Sleeve- HM
Sports Bra- Pink
Jeans- Kohl's
Shoes- Toms
My favorite things to wear during the season are my Toms and rolled jeans. Especially these black ripped jeans I found at Kohl's one day. You can dress up or down an outfit with distressed jeans and I love the casual look as well!
Hey Lovelies! I have a quick post for you guys!
I have been really into the "Sporty Chic" look lately because it's so comfortable to wear when you're out and about or just having a chill day at home! Joggers have been in this season and they're so cute to wear with sneakers!
I also like wearing this outfit when I work out and since it's getting a bit cooler, these can keep me warm without overheating my body.
My Joggers - HM Joggers
I love the heather color of these pants and the little rose gold accents on the pull-string. They're super soft and I like pairing these with a loose-oversize white tee.
My Tank- Nike Look-a-Like
This dri-fit tank is one of my favorites while I am working out. I absolutely love Nike sportswear and it doesn't stick to you when you work out.
My Shoes- Nike Cross Trainers
These are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! They're great for training and light jogs or just walking a lot in these.
I have seen a lot of people wearing this type of look and it looks so good on everybody. It's pretty versatile and it makes you look like you put thought into an outfit when you really didn't!
It's a great look for fall and I hope you guys get inspired from this!
Xoxo Nat
Fall is just around the corner and I am soooo excited! I'm preparing for this seasons fall trends and I'm here to share the ones I have seen and worn with y'all.
1) Stripes
Stripes this year are all the rage. Forget looking like a prisoner (some people might say), stripes are totally in this season and I'm pretty sure I own more than 5 striped pieces in my wardrobe. Whether the stripes are vertical or horizontal, dress, top, or pants, they can add so much to an outfit. That's why I love this Maroon Forever 21 t-shirt dress so much. I kind of use it as a shirt and wear leggings under it with a cute pair of boots or sandals. You can also layer it with a jean jacket or a pleather jacket if you'd like.
2) Maroon
I also mentioned maroon (a deep dark purple-y red if you don't know), which is also a very very popular color worn for this time of year. I don't know where it came from but, why didn't this color ever exist in the fashion world?? haha. I feel like nobody ever wore this color and now it's became a total trend. Trends seem to always come back and evolve I guess.
3) Tunics
As I was saying, trends always seem to come back, tunics (long shirts), are coming back as well! I have been wearing so many, especially this Cooperative Summer Tee that I love so much. They are great with leggings and jeans and can be layered as well.
4)High-rise Jeggings
Jeggings are my go-to pants for this season. Since they're half jeans and half-leggings, who wouldn't buy them?? They're the most comfortable faux jeans in the world and they look like jeans! Mine are the American Eagle Hi-Rise Jegging and I love them to death! They're super stylish and go with everything! I love pairing them with long sweaters and flowy tops.
5) Collared/turtle neck tees
So one thing that I was very surprised to come back was turtle necks but, in tee form. The collar is back. I'm still deciding whether I like the look on me yet but, I love this grey Cooperative tee I mentioned above from Urban Outfitters. It's light and flattering and totally able to be layered.
6) Saddlebags
Every season I pick out a new saddlebag. I like the versatility, the shape, the look, and the space. Oh, and the shoulder strap of course, that always comes in handy. I was not able to find a link to the bag I have above however I have found one style and price comparable here UO Messenger Bag. I love how my bag and any saddle bag can dress up a casual look. Clean and sophisticated.
7) Cat-eyed Sunglasses
Sunglasses like these have finally made their way back from the 50s. Whether it's a full on cat-eye or a subtle cat-eyed pair like mine above, they always add a bit off "attitude", if you know what I mean. My pair, Forever 21 Cat Eye Sunglasses, are so cute! They go with anything and everything and shape your face and flatters it. What more could ya need?
8) Slip-on Canvases
Oh my gosh. My favorite piece of all time. My shoes. My Vans. The Perforated Vans are my favorite pair of sneakers you could imagine. They come in multiple styles and colors and can be worn with anything. They are also pretty comfy, a little hard to break in but, well worth it in the end. I wear these normally with rolled up jeans, capris, and leggings. Especially going on trips I love to wear these so I can easily slip them off in security and on the plane if I want to. I highly recommend these shoes more than converse. For a little bit more money, your paying for a better quality, better looking, and an awesome shoe to show off to all of your bffs.
9) Bracelet Stacking
As a highschooler, I am open to many trends and I have recently been noticing bracelet stacking to the EXTREME. With Lokai bracelets (I did a post on them here Lokai Bracelet Review and Purpose) and Alex and Ani Bracelets, Alex and Ani. I feel like bracelets and bangles always add the final touch to an outfit and I love wearing my bangles and Lokai with pretty much everything!
10) Watches
My rose gold watch is my all time favorite watch to wear. Especially since it's ROSE GOLD. Every one is back into watches and you don't have to pay very much for one either. They are totally in this year and sometimes I forget I'm even wearing a watch and ask people what time it is!
Is there any trend I missed? Leave comments below!
